Large files take longer to process and print, so consider the practical limitations of your computer system when selecting a resolution.
The same original scanned at 72 dpi creates only a 1.3MB file. To copy photos on plain paper, see page 10. Start by printing a test pattern from the utility menu. Fortunately, Epson printers have a useful utility you can use to clean them. After trying a lot of different options, when nothing else worked including calling Epson. You can make copies of your photos on 4 × 6-inch, 5 × 7-inch, 8 × 10-inch, letter-size, or A4-size photo paper using a variety of layouts. If your Epson printer is producing blurry, choppy, or faded printouts, you may need to clean the nozzles. For example, an 8.5 x 11-inch original scanned at 300 dpi can produce a 24MB file. Do not pull out paper as it is printing it ejects automatically. Higher resolution settings result in larger file sizes. If you are enlarging your image, you must increase the resolution (dpi) proportionally to maintain the resolution of your original. Gently press down the original to keep it flat on the document table. Replace the ink cartridge in your printer and check the ink level monitor. Depending on the brand and model of the cartridge, you may not need to hold the button for 10 seconds, but it won’t harm the cartridge so do it anyway just to be safe.
Then disconnect the cord from the TPU connector on the back of the scanner and pull the lid straight up. Press the tiny reset button located beside the chip and hold for 10 seconds.
